Several months ago I had a thought about Asian girls and boys. I was thinking about the popular American “Asian Fetish” and was thinking about the people I know who dig the Asian gals and boys and I decided that many of them are really just looking for something new and/or exotic all together. So I decided this,

Asian: The Third Gender
Indeed. And then about two weeks ago, I’m reading Middlesex which is about a hermaphrodite, (as I mentioned before) and the main character, Cal, meets an Asian girl. They’re hanging out, getting to know one another, and the girl asks Cal if he’s gay. He says that he’s not and she says,
Well, I have dated men who are actually gay. They date asian because it’s the last stop. Asian girls are the last stop.
(Or something very similar). And I laughed and laughed and laughed. And I’m not sure why I’m bringing this up, and if it disses on the Asian chicas I do apologize, but I think I’m/he’s onto something here. You can all flog me now.

    I have to agree. Not that Asian women aren’t womanly, and know many with plenty o’ breast/butt, but there is the generalization of smaller, more androgenous bodies.I laughed at the Middlesex theory too. There are so many indie rock boys into Asian women that I think they either fall into the latent homosexual category or they are so narcissistic that they want someone that looks more like them.

    There is also the uber-manly guy that is into Asian ladies, that is a different issue – a little scarier, I think. I know a guy like this and his reason is “they have pubic hair like rabbit fur.” um, ok…

    oh. my. goodness. That’s someone who may need a little therapy. :]

    Don’t even get Toby started on the indie rock boys and their asian desires and their need to be understood or whatever.

    The big man little, asian girl thing is super creepy. I go back and forth on the reasoning behind this.
